Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (the "Terms") govern your use of the MAPAN app and website (the "Service") operated by the MAPAN team ("we"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. About the Service

MAPAN is a personal financial planning and record-keeping app that helps you track transactions, manage budgets, set savings goals, and monitor your cash flow, and provides an AI Assistant and a financial roadmap as planning tools.

MAPAN also provides Mapan Bisnis — a business finance module for users who want to keep their business books separate from their personal finances, covering catalog & cashier (POS), invoices, business cash, receivables and payables, customer/supplier contacts, collaboration with team members, and Business Health insights.

MAPAN is not a bank, not a licensed financial institution, and not a professional financial/investment advisor. MAPAN does not hold or move real banking funds — the balances and transactions you see in the app, including business cash in Mapan Bisnis, are personal records that you enter yourself for record-keeping and planning purposes.

2. Eligibility & Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old or legally capable of entering into an agreement to register for a MAPAN account.
• You must provide accurate information when registering and verify your email with the OTP code we send.
• You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity on your account. Contact us immediately if you suspect your account has been accessed without permission.

3. Subscription Plans & Payments

• MAPAN offers a free plan (Free Trial) with core features, as well as several paid plans with additional features — for personal finance (Basic, Premium, Annual) such as Budget Analysis, Financial Roadmap, AI Assistant, and Receipt Scan (OCR), and for Mapan Bisnis (Bisnis Starter, Bisnis Growth) such as catalog & cashier, invoices, business cash, and team members.
• The Free Trial plan can only be used once per account.
• Each Mapan Bisnis plan limits the number of businesses and team members you can manage according to the plan's capacity — see the pricing page for each plan's capacity.
• Paid plans are processed through a licensed third-party payment gateway provider — currently iPaymu (this may change from time to time depending on the provider we use). Once payment is confirmed, your subscription is activated automatically.
• Subscriptions are valid for a fixed period according to the chosen plan and do not renew automatically — you need to pay again to extend your active period. We may send you a reminder before your subscription expires.
• Plan prices may change at any time; price changes do not apply retroactively to active subscriptions.
• Payments that have been successfully activated are final and non-refundable, except in the case of a verified billing error on our side or where required by applicable laws and regulations.

4. User Obligations

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful purposes, including money laundering or fraud.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the security and stability of the Service.
• Scrape data, automate access, or place an unreasonable load on our systems.
• Impersonate others or provide false information when registering.
• Upload unlawful, defamatory, or malware-containing content through the feedback, chat, or other upload features.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. AI Assistant & Other AI-Powered Features

The AI Assistant, Receipt Scan (OCR), transaction category suggestions, and business onboarding suggestions (Mapan Bisnis) use third-party artificial intelligence technology and are assistive tools, not professional financial, tax, or legal advice. Their output (including receipt scan results, budget recommendations, or category/business suggestions) may contain errors and is always a suggestion that you must confirm yourself — no data is saved automatically without your approval. You are responsible for checking and verifying the accuracy of the data before relying on it for financial or business decisions.

6. Intellectual Property

All rights to the MAPAN app, design, logo, and content (other than the data you enter yourself) belong to us or our licensors. You retain the rights to the personal and financial data you enter into the Service.

7. Limitation of Liability

• The Service is provided "as is" without any guarantee that it will always be free of interruptions or errors, or available without interruption.
• Financial decisions you make based on information, insights, or recommendations from the Service are entirely your own responsibility.
• To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect losses, loss of profits, or other consequential losses arising from use of the Service.

8. Termination of Service

You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access if these Terms are violated or upon a valid legal request.

9. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect once published in the app/website. Continued use of the Service after changes are made constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Any dispute will first be resolved through amicable deliberation; if no agreement is reached, it will be resolved in accordance with the laws and regulations in force in Indonesia.
