A guide to setting up Mapan Bisnis — from creating your first business workspace and setting up your identity and documents, to inviting your team and organizing transaction categories.
Creating Your First Business
Mapan Bisnis runs on the same MAPAN account as your personal finances — no need to sign up again. Each business has its own business cash, catalog, contacts, and reports, kept neatly separate from your personal wallets.
Steps to Create a Business
In your Personal workspace, open the Bisnis Saya (My Businesses) menu, then tap "Buat Bisnis Baru" (Create New Business). Alternatively, open the Workspace switcher at the top of the sidebar and choose "Buat Bisnis Baru".
Step 1 — Business Type & Stage (required). Choose a business type: Makanan & Minuman (Food & Beverage), Jasa (Services), Retail / Toko (Retail / Shop), Konten Kreator (Content Creator), Usaha Pribadi (Personal Business), Rental / Sewa (Rental), or Lainnya (Other). Then choose a stage: Baru punya ide (Just an idea), Baru mulai (Just starting), Sudah jalan (Up and running), or Sedang berkembang (Growing).
Step 2 — Basic Information. Enter the Nama Bisnis (business name) (required) and Deskripsi (description) (optional). You can also fill in the optional block for AI: target market, starting capital, monthly revenue target, and estimated recurring costs. The more you fill in, the more relevant the suggestions in the next step.
Step 3 — AI Suggestions. MAPAN suggests transaction categories, getting-started tips, and things to watch out for based on your business type. Ticked categories are created automatically once the business is ready. Not a good fit? Tap "Lewati saran AI" (Skip AI suggestions) — you can create your own categories anytime.
Step 4 — Business Cash. Enter the Saldo Awal Kas Usaha (opening business cash — defaults to 0, can't be negative). If your business is already running, record your existing capital as the opening balance. For the "Just an idea" stage, you can skip this step by entering 0.
Tap "Buat Bisnis" (Create Business). You're taken straight to your new business dashboard.
The Business Type Shapes the Interface
The business type sets the terms (e.g. Menu vs Produk vs Daftar Layanan), the menus shown (e.g. Gudang/Warehouse), and the analysis focus of the Full Report — the recording flow stays the same for every type.
Switching Workspaces
Choose Personal to return to your personal finances, or pick a business name to enter that business workspace (the active business is marked with a tick).
Business Dashboard
The Dashboard is the first page you see when you enter a business. Its content adapts to your business type and role, so each business sees the summary that's most useful to it.
What's on the Dashboard
Needs Attention
Colored warning cards (Perlu Perhatian), such as negative cash, overdue invoices, a loss so far this month, or out-of-stock items. Tap a card to jump to the related page.
Key Numbers
Business cash balance, today's revenue versus yesterday, this month's revenue versus the same period last month, and this month's net profit.
Charts
Cash flow for the last 30 days, best sellers, invoice status, and your busiest days of the week.
Quick Lists
Stock that needs action, invoices coming due, top clients or customers, and the latest sales and invoice activity.
Adapting to the Business Type
Food & Beverage, Retail
The stock section is always shown: items out of stock, needing restock, or overstocked. Best sellers are labeled Menu or Produk (Products).
Services, Content Creator
No stock section. Invoices are more prominent and the shortcut buttons put Invoices first. Payers are called Klien (Clients).
Personal Business, Other
The stock section only appears once you have items with stock tracking.
Adapting to Your Role
Owner & Admin
The full dashboard: net profit, 30-day cash flow, best sellers, invoice pipeline, and top customers.
Cashier & Viewer
The basics only: business cash balance, today's and yesterday's sales, stock that needs action, and recent activity. Profit and invoice figures are deliberately not sent to their accounts.
Business Checklist & Tours
The business dashboard shows a Langkah Awal (Getting Started) card for owners and admins. The steps differ per business type, for example:
Food & Beverage
Add capital, add menu items, first sale, record an expense — optional: set up tables or queue numbers, raw ingredients in the Warehouse.
Retail / Shop
Add capital, add products, first sale, record an expense — optional: suppliers and customers.
Services & Content Creator
Add capital, your service list or rate card, add a client, first invoice, record an expense.
Rental
Add capital, create rental rates, add units & assign rates, first rental session, add snacks, record an expense.
The business navigation tour and page guides also follow your business type — the terms (Menu, Produk, Layanan, Rate Card) and menu order adapt. The business tour appears after the Personal tour is finished, and you can replay it with Ulangi Tutorial (Replay Tutorial) in the business menu on the navbar.
Business Settings
The Pengaturan Bisnis (Business Settings) menu can be opened by owners and admins — but each section has its own rules: Business Info, Documents, and Delete Business are owner-only (identity & big decisions); Categories, Discounts, Add-ons, and Service Charge can be managed by admins too (day-to-day operations).
Business Info
Tap the Logo Bisnis box to upload a logo (JPG/PNG/WEBP, max 2 MB). The logo is saved right away and used on receipts and invoices.
Edit the Nama Bisnis (name), Deskripsi (description), Jenis Usaha (business type), Tahap Bisnis (business stage), Nomor Telepon (phone), NPWP (tax ID) (optional), and Alamat (address).
Use the Bisnis Aktif (Active Business) switch to deactivate the business temporarily without deleting its data.
Documents (Receipts & Invoices)
Set up how your sales receipt and invoice PDFs look, all in one place.
Template & Color
Choose Default or a ready-made template, then override the accent color with Warna Aksen Custom (Custom Accent Color — leave empty to use the template color).
Receipt & Invoice Size
Choose A4, Thermal 80mm, or Thermal 58mm — POS receipts are usually thermal, invoices usually A4.
Footer Note
Optional closing text at the bottom of the document, such as a thank-you or payment terms.
Info Shown
Turn Nomor Telepon (phone), Alamat (address), and NPWP (tax ID) on or off on documents.
Tap "Simpan Pengaturan Dokumen" (Save Document Settings) when you're done. These settings are used automatically when you print a receipt from the POS Riwayat (History) or print an invoice.
Discounts
A global discount master list — create once, reuse whenever you record a transaction. The Diskon (Discounts) menu can be managed by admins too.
Enter a Nama (name, e.g. Member Discount), choose Nominal (Rp) (fixed amount) or Persen (%) (percentage), and enter the value.
Add-ons: Sizes & Toppings (Tambahan)
Extra choices per order, like in food-delivery apps — e.g. Size (Regular / Large +Rp5,000) and Topping (Boba +Rp3,000, Ice Cream +Rp4,000). This feature can be switched on or off like the Service Charge; when it's off, the POS doesn't show any add-on choices.
Add-ons are organized in groups. Each group has its own rules and is attached to any variants you choose, so one order can include several groups at once (e.g. Large + Boba + Ice Cream).
Tap "Tambah Grup" (Add Group). Enter a name (e.g. Size), choose how customers pick — Pilih satu (Pick one) for sizes/levels, Boleh beberapa (Allow several) for toppings (optionally with a Maksimal Pilihan/max choices) — and turn on Wajib Dipilih (Required) if needed. Tick the variants that use this group, then Simpan (Save).
On the group card, tap "Tambah Opsi" (Add Option). Enter a name and the extra price (0 for free). Turn on Lacak Stok (Track Stock) for options that can run out (e.g. Boba) and enter the stock; leave it off for sizes or levels.
Service Charge (Biaya Layanan)
An optional extra charge (a service charge) that you can switch on or off anytime — unlike Discounts, it's just one setting per business, not a list.
Turn on Aktifkan Biaya Layanan (Enable Service Charge), choose Nominal (Rp) or Persen (%), then enter the value.
Queue Numbers (Nomor Antrian)
Give every order an automatic sequence number (e.g. A-001, A-002) so customers are easy to call. The number is printed large on the receipt and shown in Sales History.
Turn on Aktifkan Nomor Antrian (Enable Queue Numbers), then set the
Awalan (prefix) you like (e.g. A-, TA, #, or leave it empty) and
choose the Panjang Angka (number length). A sample number appears right
below the form.
Choose the Reset Harian (Daily Reset) — the time the sequence goes back to
- Businesses open past midnight can pick a time after closing (e.g. 04:00).
Tables / Units (Meja / Unit)
Record orders per table for dine-in — or per rental unit (PS, billiard table) for rental businesses. Table orders can stay open and be added to anytime, then paid all at once when the customer is done.
Tap "Tambah Sekaligus" (Add in Bulk) to create many numbered tables (e.g. prefix Table, numbers 1 to 10) in one area, or "Tambah Meja" (Add Table) to add them one by one. Areas (Indoor, Outdoor, 2nd Floor) and capacity are optional.
Rename, change the area, or deactivate a table from the three-dot menu on its card.
Members & Roles
Invite cashiers, admins, or observers to work in the same business without sharing your password. The Anggota (Members) menu is available to the owner only.
Owner
One per business, set when the business is created. Has access to every feature, including Members and Business Settings.
Admin
Manages the catalog, warehouse, invoices, contacts, payables & receivables, reports, and the action plan. Can void sales and invoices.
Cashier (Kasir)
Only records sales through the Kasir (POS), plus viewing the dashboard.
Viewer
Only sees the summary Dashboard.
Inviting Members
Enter the recipient's Email and choose a Peran (role — Cashier by default). Emails not yet registered on MAPAN can still be invited.
Tap "Kirim Undangan" (Send Invitation). The invitation is valid for 7 days and appears in the Undangan Tertunda (Pending Invitations) list.
The recipient opens the invitation link in their email. If they don't have an account yet, they can sign up right away (their email is filled in automatically), then tap "Terima Undangan" (Accept Invitation) — or "Tolak" (Decline).
Managing Members
On the Anggota Aktif (Active Members) card, change a role with the dropdown next to the name (Admin, Cashier, or Viewer).
Tap the trash icon "Keluarkan anggota" (Remove member) to revoke access — that member loses access to the business immediately.
On the Undangan Tertunda card, tap "Batalkan" (Cancel) if you sent it by mistake; the old link can no longer be used.
Categories
Categories group your business sales, bills, and expenses, and are the basis for automatic category suggestions when you record transactions. The Kategori (Categories) menu is available to admins and above.
Open Pengaturan Bisnis → Kategori (owners and admins can open it), then tap "Tambah Kategori" (Add Category).
Enter a Nama (name, e.g. Raw Materials, Salaries, Rent), choose an Ikon (icon) (optional), and choose what it's Dipakai untuk (used for): Produk (Products), Pemasukan (Income), Pengeluaran (Expenses), or Umum (General).
